She began her stage career by playing Jeanne d'Arc, in a stage production in school. At sixteen, she won the lead role in the International Munich Art Lab's debut Hip Hopera. Traue was a part of the show over the course of four years on stages throughout Germany Europe and in New York City. In the following years, Traue appeared in several films as well as television shows like Kleinruppin Forever Berlin am Meer and Phantomschmerz. Her birthplace was in NYC, and she was raised as a child on the island called Jamaica. Her parents are originally from Jamaica however, they settled in New York. She graduated with the BSc in Chemistry from Stony Brook University in Chemistry.
